Belfast 400 History Forum: a day of lectures

The Ulster Committee for Irish Historical Studies and Belfast City Council will present the Belfast 400 History Forum on Saturday 16 March.

This day of public lectures from leading historians and archaeologists will look at events leading up to the signing of the city`s first charter on 27 April 1613 and the development of Belfast from town to city.

Along with five other speakers, the forum will feature a talk by Ian Montgomery of PRONI who previously worked on the Belfast City Archive Project, which catalogued the records of the Belfast City Council and its predecessor bodies.

The event will be held on Belfast Waterfront, from 9.30am to 3pm, and entrance is by ticket.
