Great news today from the Representative Church Body Library: transcriptions of the parish registers for Delgany/Glendalough 1666-1900 have been made freely available in a 174-page pdf.
This in itself is terrific news for anyone with ancestors from Co Wicklow, but there is more!
The Delgany registers represent the first release from the Anglican Record Project – the work of Mark Williams. The project is an ongoing endeavour to make the registers of birth, marriage and burial registers from Church of Ireland parishes available online via the RCBL website.
This project, in effect, makes up for the 'stalled' irishgenealogy.ie project through which Church of Ireland registers for Dublin City, Carlow and Kerry have been made available. Find out more here.
