An introduction to using Ireland's Registry of Deeds

As part of this week's #ExploreYourArchive campaign, the Property Registration Authority of Ireland (PRAI) yesterday held an online seminar on the Registry of Deeds.

Tickets were as rare as hens' teeth, and it was fully booked in no time at all, but I understand the event was recorded and will be available online in due course. I'll let you know when.

In the meantime, the PRAI has produced a short (2:22minutes) video guide to using its Land Index Books and published a blogpost providing an overview and essential tips for researchers. It's easy to be daunted by research into the vast and wonderful Registry of Deeds archive; this brief but clear as crystal introduction will help prepare the first-time visitor.

You'll find both the video and blogpost at prai.ie/blog-5-a-guide-to-using-the-land-index-book/
