Sites surveyed by HistoricGraves join HeritageMaps

Choose the Archaeology menu, find Burial Grounds
and then click on HistoricGravesand and pinpoint
the surveyed graveyard

Newly established on the free HeritageMaps.ie viewer is HistoricGraves.ie. Check out the Layer List to the left of the map, open the Archaeology menu and scroll down to open the Burial Grounds layer.

All the burial grounds surveyed by the HistoricGraves team in partnership with more than 500 community groups have been mapped, allowing researchers to find graveyards that have been accurately recorded, view photos of headstones, read their inscriptions, and listen or view other stories about the local area and its characters. And all free.
