The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and Foras na Gaeilge are to host a lecture series exploring aspects of Irish language and culture, including shared traditions, identities and heritage. The four lectures in the series will be:
15 October: Ulster Protestant Gaelic Tradition, by Diarmaid Ó Doibhlin
22 October: Influence of Irish on English as we speak it, by Joe Ó Labhraí
5 November: History of the Irish Language, by Mícheál Ó Máirtín
12 November: Our Shared Musical Heritage, by Brian Mullen
Each of these lectures will be held at PRONI's offices in Titanic Boulevard, Belfast, at 1pm to 2pm. Admission is free but you need to reserve your place by emailing proni@dcalni.gov.uk or calling 028 90 534800.
