Tenders invited for Offaly training programme

Offaly Local Development Company and Ireland Reaching Out have invited tenders for the delivery of a programme of lectures and workshop training.

The brief is for the training to provide:

• General introduction to Irish Genealogy (e.g. use of Census records, Civil & Church Records, Land & Property Records, Griffiths etc.)
  
• In-depth presentation on Co. Offaly-specific genealogical sources
  
• Introduction to and use of online web-based information sources and searches
  
• Introduction to development of projects including family history, town land and place name mapping, historical map reading and matching to records etc.
  

There's no time for delaying! The deadline for receipt of proposals is 28 February and the training is to start in Birr in mid-March (followed by further venues in April-June).
