Irish genealogy course starts next week in Melbourne

The Genealogical Society of Victoria will be running a four-session Beginning Irish Family History course on Tuesday mornings from 12 February.

The topics to be covered include:
  • Recording Sources
  • Land Divisions and Records
  • Maps and Gazetteers
  • History Timeline
  • Parish / Church Records
  • Civil Registration
  • Wills and Probate
  • Census Records
  • Tax Records: Griffith’s Valuation and Tithe Applotment Books
The sessions will be held 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Meeting Room at the Genealogy Society of Victoria, Level B1 257 Collins Street, Melbourne, Australia.
