A conference examining poverty and famine in Ireland will be taking place in Belfast this coming weekend.
Hosted by Queens University Belfast, the event – Poverty & Famine in Ireland: The Great Famine, its contexts and legacy – is open to all, is free to attend, and will be held at Clifton House, North Queen Street, Belfast.
You can view the programme here.
If you wish to attend, you'll need to book by email. The organisers have told me that, as of today, there are still some spaces.
