FindMyPast adds medieval pedigrees, headstone inscriptions and a 1931 trade directory

FindMyPast has uploaded the following records to its Irish collection:

O'Hart's Irish Pedigrees
Published in two volumes in 1915, O'Hart's Irish Pedigrees covers the twelth to the sixteenth centuries. Each record is available in a PDF format and will reveal biographical details such as birth dates, death dates, marriage dates, spouse's names, children's names, occupations and more.

Ireland 1931 Trade Directory
This directory covers all counties of the Republic of Ireland. Transcriptions of entries allow you to discover a combination of information such as first name (sometimes abbreviated), surname, business name, occupation and address.

Gravestone Records, Ireland
This collection of records has been sourced from Dr Jane Lyons, who has been collecting headstone inscriptions for decades. It holds details of more than 57,000 individuals and covers hundreds of graveyards across the island. The largest concentrations are in County Laois (more than one-third of the total), followed by Kilkenny, Tipperary, Wexford, Wicklow and Fermanagh. All counties (except Sligo?) are represented.
