Great day of lectures in Dublin this weekend

There's a great day of lectures planned for this Saturday (19 May) in Dublin.

Hosted by the Irish Genealogical Research Society (IGRS), the Open Day will be held in the Seminar Room of Dublin City Library & Archive, Pearse Street, Dublin 2. It starts at 10:00am and closes at 4:30pm. Lunch is not included.

10:00: Registration and coffee
10:20: Chairman's Welcome
10:30–11:10: Digitising The Chief Secretary's Office registered papers, with Nigel Johnston
11:15–11:55: Ireland's prison and petty sessions records, with Brian Donovan
12:00–13:30: Lunch break
13:45–14:25: A myriad of sources for early Irish marriages, with Roz McCutcheon
14:30–15:10: Sources for adoption and fostering in Ireland, with Anna Austin
15:20–16:00: Ask The Experts - Question and Answer Session.

The event is free and everyone — from beginner family historian to the most experienced genealogist — is welcome to come along.
