Catch the bus to find your ancestors

Here's a novel way to get family historians to the archive: lay on a bus!

The Genealogy Bus Trip sets off from Ballymena on Friday 8 June at 10am and will visit the Mellon Centre for Migration Studies in Omagh, Co Tyrone. Specialist staff will be on hand to introduce you to the library sources available – including maps, audio-visual material and the Irish Emigration Database which holds a collection of primary source documents relating to Irish-American emigration.

A visit to the Ulster American Folk Park and a recently opened exhibition Titanic: Window on Emigration is also included. Catering facilities are available, but lunch is not included in the package.

The bus leaves The Braid Town Hall and Museum complex at 10am and returns at 5.30pm.

To book tickets, £10 pp, telephone The Braid, Mid-Antrim Museum on 028 2563 5900
