Books, books, glorious books

Two events coming up for book lovers:

Second-hand, rare and unusual Book & Map Fair — Bank holiday Monday, 4 June 2012

Venue: The Bothy, Walled Garden, Oldbridge
(Battle of the Boyne Visitor centre)
Time: 11am - 5pm
Cost: Free admission

In addition to the book and map stalls, there will be short talks by local authors:

Talk & Book signing :
‘Drogheda; Its Place in Irish History’ at 3pm

Noel French
Talk : Hugh de Lacy - Founder of Drogheda at 4pm
Book signing ‘Meath War Dead’

The 2012 Belfast Book Festival — Monday 13 June to Sunday 19 June

Venue: Crescent Arts Centre and other venues around the city including Black Box, Ulster Museum, the Linen Hall Library

This year’s celebration of books will bring together writers such as Colm Toibin, Andy White, Afric Campbell, Keith Ridgeway and many others. There will also be a series of films about writing at the QFT, creative writing workshops, poetry meets, a literary pub quiz and loads of other activities that lovers of books will enjoy.
